I recently upgraded this G5 to 10.4.11 from 10.4.9 and have observed numerous new, small glitches like this, especially in the Finder. Windows won't keep their icons arranged after a restart, and/or the icon sizes will change, or the window view might change.

I then pasted a new icon into the same place and it showed up ok, but it didn't appear in the larger preview area near the bottom of that window. I checked permissions and it said 'You can Read & Write.' I closed and reopened the Get Info window but there was no change. I then went to the volume itself and did the same thing but I still couldn't select the small icon in the volumes main Get Info window.
